This website is a legacy from the Mining Heritage Trust of Ireland (MHTI), which existed from 1996 until August 2019. It contains all the public information that the Trust has accumulated in 23 years on Irish mining heritage. There is further information, including a large photographic archive and material whose copyright is held by others in an MHTI archive, now transferred to the Natural History Museum, in the National Museum of Ireland.
